- 1/2 tsp black split gram lentils/urad dal
- 2 tsp chickpea lentils/chanadal

- Preparation-Soak chickpea lentils in water for about 20 mints.Finely chopped coriander leaves & keep aside.
- Heat a pan adding cooking oil & cashew nuts.Saute till the cashews turn slightly brown & then transfer it to a bowl.
- Add mustard seeds,lentils,curry leaves to the same pan,keep stirring till the mustard seeds pup up, then include grated carrots, turmeric powder.
- Take a bowl, mix these with curd, roasted rava, finely chopped cilantro/ coriander leaves,salt.
- Combine all these together into idle batter consistency.Add some water if needed to obtain the deserve consistency.
- Grease the idle moulds & place a roasted cashew in each mould.Keep the steamer with water on stove & let it start bowling.
- When everything is ready include baking soda to the prepared rava idle batter,give a quick mix.
- Pour idle batter into greased idle moulds.Steam it for about 10 to 15 mints.Let it cool down.
- Once done loosen the idle using a knife & remove from moulds.
- Serve hot with coconut chutney.
