- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp turmeric / haldi
- 2 tsp oil
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp eno / fruit salt

- 3 tsp oil
- 3/4 tsp mustard
- 1/2 tsp cumin / jeera
- 1 tsp sesame / til
- 5-6 curry leaves
- pinch hing / asafoetida
Steps to make to make Handvo
- Firstly, soak rice, chana dal, toor dal, urad dal for 3-4 hours.
- Add curd and blend to a smooth but slightly coarse paste.
- Further add grated bottle gourd, coriander.
- Also add ginger paste, green chilli, sugar, chilli powder, turmeric, oil and salt.
- Mix well making sure the batter is slightly thick like idli batter consistency.
now add eno / fruit salt and mix gently. - Bake the handvo in over or cook on tawa
